Is REELcomp Free?
YES, and isn't free good.

Why do I have to be a member?
Well...you don't. Anyone can enjoy some of the features of REELcomp without being a member. There's the main page, our blog, and event postings. You can even watch an exclusive live webcast that's only available on REELcomp as a non-member. The others won't even notice the "Guest" lurking around. And maybe you don't want to see the Surf, Snow, and Weather Reports, who won the contest, or find out what's happening in the Crown Room. Who wants another username and password to remember and who has the time? No one is going to hold it against you if you just pass through as a guest. They won't even know you're here. But if you want to upload videos, customize your experience, vote in contest - find out who won what, see up to the minute reports, contribute your comments on some footage, rate members posting, hang in the Crown Room exclusive to members, get the heads up on everything new at REELcomp, AND enjoy smaller ads you gotta join. It's fast, easy, and free - and then people will know what to call you.

How big can my video be?
Go Big, as big as you can! Pack as action, amplitude, and adrenaline as you can into 10 minutes or less. And keep that file size to 200MB and under. If you go bigger for longer you'll just have to post more than one video.

Is there a limit to the number of videos I can upload?
There is no limit to the number of videos you can post on REELcomp. How much footage do you have? You think you can post the most?

Can I enter more than one competition at a time?
Yes you can but the competitions must be in different categories. Stacking the deck isn't cool and we just can't hang with that.

Surf, Snow and Skate isn't enough for me. Will there ever be other action sports on REELcomp?
Yes there will, if it's action and we think its cool it will be here. We're probably working on a new addition right now.

What happens if I don't receive my activation email?
Check your junk mail and spam mail. If you still don't get it then send an email to information@reelcomp.com and we'll get you activated. Tell Mail you'll be the boss of what's junk and add "information@reelcomp.com" to your address book. It's fast, simple, and you won't miss a thing.

In the competitions, can I change which video I want people to vote on?
Yes, once you have already submitted a video into a competition you can always go to the Current Comps page within the Crown Room and click on Change video, as long as it is during the upload period.

What if I go to upload a video before the competition and it's still going after the deadline?
Well, maybe next time. When you want to enter a competition, remember that a last minute entry may not make it. After the deadline our hands are tied and you'll be waiting until the next competition. Remember uploads can take time depending on your connection and the size of the video. If there are a lot of people like you, the upload takes even longer. So upload early. Upload often.
