US Trademark Office - May 25th, 2007 by Chad

I find it amazing how much money the government makes and how many people they empoloy yet it still takes an inordinate amount of time to get anything done. We filed our logo and name with the US Trademark Office and we have been informed that we are verified to date, however we will not receive any response for 15 - 18 months ! You have to be kidding me that is rediculous, anyhow at least we are registers and the logo/name is ours. And I thought getting a passport took a long time…

We have a Logo - May 19th, 2007 by REELcomp Team

We never thought a logo would be so difficult to develop. After months of chicken scratching ideas on paper and chisseling them on stone we came up with the logo you see on this page. We tried to develop a logo that was simple but easy to remember and associate with filming and REELcomp.com. What do you all think?

LA to VEGAS - May 11th, 2007 by Chad

Its kinda strange how once you get used to a long drive how short it can feel, unless you hit LA traffic at 5pm for the third consecutive time. Every few weeks the REELcomp Team meets in LA to discuss our progress and meet with our Design and Marketing Team at Mind Medium (mindmedium.org). While the rest of the REELcomp Team flys on private jets I am forced to drive out from Vegas through the raging desert with no A/C to pick them up at the airport. This past weekend we narrowed down some designs and navigation for the site that has never been attempted. We have developed what we are calling the “Remote” which is a break through in site navigation ! yeah thats right. Anyway everytime I drop the Team off at the airport to start my drive back to Vegas it happens to be around 5-6pm. Well have you ever tried to leave LAX at 5pm and have to drive through LA, I do not recommend it !

Creation of Competitions - May 6th, 2007 by Brian

Today was a HUGE milestone for the REELcomp team as they solidified the rules of the “comp”. The
competition and it’s rules and specs have been in discussion for months. Knowing that the competition
will be a popular attraction to the new website, the crew was determined to make this domain unique,
exciting, and rewarding. Literally, several hours into the discussion, the bomb was finally dropped as
team member Mark Cernosia came up with the ultimate format for the Crown Room competitions. Stay tuned
for the most exciting action sports video showdown starting in September!!!
