REELcomp is pleased to announce the official launch of REELcomp.com.  REELcomp will begin accepting footage of skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing. The site pays tribute to the original sports that began the action sport industry.  REELcomp will be the premier site to upload and share footage utilizing the most up to date technology while providing a very easy-to-use uploading system.  Users can load endless clips of their board sports and starting September 2, 2007 users will vote a new winner twice a month. The winner takes home $1000 cash and secures a spot in the “sweet sixteen” Final Bracket, which will result in a grand prize vacation for a finalist in all three sports.
REELcomp was created by industry enthusiasts that built the site around ideas that they personally wanted to see on the web.  REELcomp wanted an easy-to-use dedicated video sharing system in which anyone can upload and share videos.  The team knows that there are many talented die-hard athletes that remain unexposed because of the challenges of becoming noticed in today’s busy industry. The team’s goal is to create a site completely content based, which will be showcasing new talent and sport progression. The competition gives skaters, snowboarders, and surfers the chance to be seen and rewarded for their skills, almost immediately.
REELcomp is comprised of experienced filmmakers who will be in charge of live webcasting events in all three disciplines, of often-unseen events throughout the year.  The first LIVE webcast is scheduled for September 8th, in which REELcomp will be bringing you the éS Game of SKATE Finals directly from the ASR tradeshow in San Diego, CA.
We have also included Hot Dawgz and Hand Rails into our lineup on REELcomp.com, September 15th from Bear Mountain in California.  Be sure to tune in and watch the first U.S. resort event of the season.  We are working on setting a schedule for future webcasts to continue giving back to our community.
REELcomp is excited to offer a website that will keep its focus only on the core board sports; skate, snow, surf.

REELcomp.com now allows you to customize your home page to show up to 4 different world wide surf reports. All you need to do is go to your account page, edit your profile and choose the option to have a surf report instead of the weather report. We will soon be adding Snow Fall reports too !

The site is almost ready for official launch! The REELcomp team has been hard at work getting things ready for everybody’s enjoyment. Because we love to film and edit, the crew has stacked up two events in September to live webcast. Talk about starting off with a bang! We will be at ASR September 8th in San Diego bringing you the much anticipated eS game of Skate, live from inside the trade show! Who will win this year??? From there, the crew will go to Bear Mountain in California to bring you the first snowboarding event of the year in the U.S.! On September 15th we bring you the infamous Hot Dawgz and Hand Rails competition, live! HDHR will showcase today’s hottest rail riders as they battle it out cold turkey for $12,000!!! Look forward to Bear’s setup as their crew is one of the best in the world and it is sure to be progressive and great to watch. Can’t Wait!!!

The REELcomp Team made a presence yesterday passing out packages in a series of locations throughout the venue. There was a frenzy for a while but plenty to go around. After a photo op with Lil Jon we headed over to the Best Trick finals in the Velodrome to capture some shots. We are going surfing this morning in San Clemente but will be on site at the X-Games this afternoon. We’ll see you there.
