BEST BAIL WINNER - The Story - March 6th, 2008 by REELcomp Team

This weeks winner of Snowboarding Best Bail has a crazy story behind it. We contacted First Tracks Productions to get some background on the Bail and to check in and make sure Eric was alright.

” We built the road gap last month near Heavenly ski area in south laketahoe for a shoot for First Tracks Productions. Eric had hit it probably7-8 or times prior to his crash and had cleared the road everytime andlanded some straight airs and a backside 180. On his last attempt, he scrubbed some speed and came in to the jump a little sketched and he cameup short and shattered his heel in to 8 places.Eric is in Thailand right now - I believe he just had surgery and will berecovering there. It was a lot cheaper for him to fly there, get thesurgery there and recover there than to get the surgery in the statessince he doesn’t have health insurance. He won’t be walking for a coupleof months. The money is going to his family to help cover the cost of his medical bills.”

Our thoughts go out to Eric, his crew and his family and hope that he will be shreddin’ soon. Check out the video of his Bail:

Bear Mountain Park Wide Open 2008 - March 1st, 2008 by REELcomp Team

What do you mean what happened at Bear Mountain tonight? Bear was a wild fiasco of shredders raiding the ’scene’. Wanted to give you an idea of what went down so here’s a quick look.

Bar

Roughly seven thousand riders tackled the ’scene’ (just an estimate)
