The 2009 Maloof Money Cup is under way! The preliminary heats began yesterday afternoon and started up again today around 1pm. Filmer X and Duncan Barnes from VACA films are down there getting shots and providing the REELcomp community and the rest of the skateboarding world a first glimpse of the 2009 Maloof Money Cup. The course looks crazy sick, the riders are going for it and Filmer X reports heavy, heavy competition down there. It’s hard to think that this year could top last years performances from P-Rod, Chris Cole, Nyjah Huston, Billy Marks and Sheckler, but with another half million dollars or so on the line, anything is possible. New lines and features all over the place in this years Maloof Course, we’ll be watching what happens and who will become instantly rich with the $100,000 1st place prize.
